(QIMCO) in Intercontinental Hotel, Western Gulf. Many administrators and employees from all departments of both companies participated in the event.</h3>Around 300 employee with their families took part in the various and interesting sports activities of the company.<br><br>“QJet” team competed in the football game its counterpart “QIMCO” team and “QJet” team won the match. In addition, the distinguished competitions that “QJet” has participated in included the volleyball competition and “QJet” team won this competition as well.<br>Mr. Atiq Salem Al Muslem, Director of “QJet” has praised the state sports day stating: “this day is deemed as great achievement of State of Qatar, as the attendance of everyone is witnessed in the playground and State of Qatar was converted into a large playground, so that everyone can practice the sport”.<br>The Technical Director Mr. Habib Hussein Alsayed stated: “the atmosphere in the sports day is wonderful, which leads to exceeding the ordinary and breaking the routine experienced by the human throughout the year. This plane was designed to be the largest passengers’ plane in the whole history of plane industry. </h3><div><br></div><div>The price of this plane is expected to be US$ 400 million. This new Boeing plane will accommodate on board 400 passengers thus will override its competitor, AIR BUS 100- A350 that accommodates 366 passengers by 34 passengers, in addition to having the size of the cockpit exceed that of the competing plane by 40 cm which will make it possible to increase the space allocated for the economy class by 34 cm. It will be possible to increase width of the seat in the class to 64 cm. The area of the seat in this class will vary between 43 – 47 cm.<div><br></div><div> Moreover, the windows’ area will be increased by 15% over the other windows and will be higher. The plane will be provided with better lighting and luxury means, inner vast designs in addition to less fuel consumption by 12% and lower operating costs by 10% compared to competing planes. Beside all the previously mentioned added areas, the most important characteristic of the latest versions of Boeing is the size of its wings, where the width of the wing of the plane is 235 feet, 5 inches, the equivalent of 71.3 meters, which compelled the company to attach “Hinges” to the wings that can be folded in order to shorten their length during the plane entry to the corridor.<div><br>Boeing clarified that the Hinges attached to the new plane wings will be controlled by “PINS” to prevent it from folding while flying. The report mentioned that the company has completed the full design and the plane’s infrastructure and has already received orders for 320 planes from 6 airlines around the world. |«QJET» Fuels the first A350 aircraft in the world||<p></p><h3>After opening the Hamad International Airport and the launching of first flight in the end of April, 2014, Qatar , Qatar Fuel Jet Company, Q-JET started an new era and the Management of Q-JET made its expressed its intention to go ahead with its strategic plan for the year 2014 through implementing a successful transmission and operation move in Hamad International Airport represented in fueling aircrafts.</h3><div><br>Once the remaining months of the year 2014 passes, an important event occurred to Q-JET being fueling first wide body Airbus A350XWB which entered service for the first time and which Qatari Airlines had added to its fleet recently. |Celebration in the honor of Engineer Mohamed Khalifa bin Turki Al Subaie||<p>Qatar Jet Fuel (Q-JET) held a celebration gathering in the honor of Engineer Mohamed Khalifa bin Turki Al Subaie, the company's General Manager since it formation on 1990 until 2014. During this period, Eng Al Subaie's valuable efforts and sincerity was one of the causes for Q-JET's success.</p><p>The event was attended by HE Sheikh Saud bin Abdurrahman Al Thani, Chairman of the Board and Eng/Ibrahim Jiham Al Kuwari, General Manager and Sheikh Abdurrahman bin Jabor Al Thani, the deputy Chairman, The celebration was attended by many of the executive management in Q-JET and WAQOOD who made it a point to attend to honor such a personality who participated in a splendid way in developing the company.</p><p>The General Manager, Eng/Ibrahim bin Jiham Al Kuwari said: Today we have a personality who was and still is a pillar to the distinguished work. |Qatar Airways To Extend Footprint In Iraq||
<p><strong>Qatar Airways continues its network expansion with the announcement of scheduled flights to Najaf – its third route in the Republic of Iraq, effective January 23</strong>.</p><p>The southern city of Najaf, home to the holy Imam Ali mosque, joins the capital Baghdad and northern city of Erbil, two routes launched earlier this year. The addition of Najaf takes Qatar Airways' frequency to Iraq from eight flights to 12 services a week.<br></p><p>The Doha-based airline will operate four-flights-a-week non-stop to Najaf, offering travellers a greater choice of travel options to more than 100 destinations around the world served by the airline via its hub. The Najaf route will be operated with an Airbus A320 in a two-class configuration of 12 seats in Business Class and 132 in Economy. Situated 160 kilometres from Baghdad, Najaf receives millions of pilgrims annually who travel to visit the Imam Ali shrine, one of the most revered holy Islamic sites.</p><p><br> </p>
