QJET Launches Service Level 2 Refueling Operations for Qatar Airways at HIA

Qatar Jet Fuel Company (QJET), the nation’s premier aviation fuel service provider, has officially commenced Service Level 2 (SL2) refueling operations for Qatar Airways as of July 2025 at Hamad International Airport (HIA).
This strategic operational shift marks a significant milestone in the longstanding partnership between QJet and Qatar Airways, delivering enhanced efficiency, safety, and streamlined coordination throughout the refueling process. Under the SL2 model, QJET assumes full operational responsibility for into-plane fueling—eliminating the need for direct airline supervision during each refueling event.
"This transition to Service Level 2 reflects our commitment to operational excellence and mutual trust with Qatar Airways, It also reinforces our ability to meet international aviation standards while delivering uninterrupted, 24/7 fueling services at one of the world's busiest airports."
By adopting SL2, QJet provides Qatar Airways with a more autonomous and standardized service model, aligned with IATA guidelines and JIG (Joint Inspection Group) protocols. The SL2 arrangement allows for greater operational flexibility, reduced turnaround times, and improved real-time communication through automated fuel order and reporting systems.
QJet continues to uphold its reputation for reliability, safety, and technical excellence, supplying Jet A-1 fuel to over 60 international airlines operating through HIA and Doha International Airport (DIA). With the addition of SL2 fueling for Qatar Airways, QJet further strengthens its role as a regional leader in aviation fuel logistics.
