After opening the Hamad International Airport and the launching of first flight in the end of April, 2014, Qatar , Qatar Fuel Jet Company, Q-JET started an new era and the Management of Q-JET made its expressed its intention to go ahead with its strategic plan for the year 2014 through implementing a successful transmission and operation move in Hamad International Airport represented in fueling aircrafts.
Once the remaining months of the year 2014 passes, an important event occurred to Q-JET being fueling first wide body Airbus A350XWB which entered service for the first time and which Qatari Airlines had added to its fleet recently. By this action, Q-JET enhanced the plans to which a national company endeavors to reach wherever it may be.
Since Qatar Airlines received this aircraft which is the pioneer one worldwide and which was given the name “Sudanthel”m Q-JET became the pioneer fuel company that fuels such crafts in a commercial trip whole heading to Frankfurt.
The advantages of this plane is that 70% of its structure was designed from modern materials that consist of titanium, and aluminum alloy in addition to plastic that is reinforced with carbon fibers which reduces the fuel combustion and facilitate maintenance.
These good events and distinguished achievements coincided with the company’s starting its final arrangements to celebrate its “Silver Year (25 years – 1990- 2015), where the preparations are on the go to arrange some of the activities and events during 2015 to culminate the efforts of the company during the previous period.

It is worth mentioning that Q-JET was one of the main participants in inaugurating the giant aircraft A380 in Hamad International Airport where it joined in the final experiments to the new Qatari aircraft within the preparations of the Hamad International Airport and the Qatari Airlines to make certain that all airport facilities were ready to commence the commercial journeys. Q-JET made an attempt to fuel the plane in more than one location in the airport with the use of different equipments and special tanks for made for that purpose. This was done to made sure of the total readiness of the company to serve, in the best way, the largest plane worldwide which was recently became a member of the Qatari Airlines fleet.

The Chairman of the Board, Sheikh Saud bin Abdurrahman Al Thani in addition to Mr. Ibrahim Jiham Alkawari, the Chief Executive and the operation manager as well as a number of administrative and technical officials all attended part of the introduction round that Qatari Airlines had arranged to give a detailed idea on the new aircraft and present its abilities and advantages which distinguish this particular plane over others of the same type. The discussion concentrated in the round with the Airbus team on the method to manage the fuel system from the cabin and the role of the technical team in making sure of the safety of the fueling system. Moreover, the round included a presentation on the fuel tanks and its distribution on the aircraft, its capacity and the estimated time for fueling in addition to safety and security measures in large planes and how to deal with any emergency before and during the journey.
